EyeBreak — Screen Break Reminder
Overview
Gently blurs your screen every 20 minutes to remind you to look away and rest your eyes.
Time to look up. EyeBreak helps you build the habit of resting your eyes during long screen sessions. Based on the 20-20-20 rule recommended from eye care professionals, everyone should, every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Instead of relying on willpower to remember, EyeBreak gently fades your screen into a soft blur at your chosen interval, with a visible countdown so you know exactly when 20 seconds is up. The blur stays until you confirm you've taken the break! Features: • Gradual fade-in blur, and it works across tabs. • Automatically skips fullscreen video calls, presentations, and slideshows • Snooze option (capped per hour, so it can't quietly disable itself) • Fully customizable interval, reminder text, and snooze limit • Only counts active screen time—stepping away resets the clock No data leaves your browser. All settings are stored locally/synced via your Chrome profile.
