Save images and videos from Twitter/X, Bluesky, Instagram and other websites in one click, at the best available quality, straight to your Downloads folder. ExtractMedia adds a small download button to posts as you browse. Click it and every photo and video in that post is saved, so you don't have to right-click each image, dig through page source or use a sketchy download website. WHY USE EXTRACTMEDIA • One click per post: saves every image and video in a post or carousel at once. • Best available quality: gets original-size Twitter/X images and the original Bluesky files instead of compressed previews when the site makes them available. • Streaming videos become regular MP4s: streamed (HLS) videos are put back together into one playable file on your computer. • Private by design: all processing, including video conversion, runs locally in your browser. No account, no tracking, no analytics, and no developer servers. • Asks only for what it needs: works on Twitter/X, Bluesky and Instagram out of the box. Other sites get access only when you turn them on yourself. FEATURES • Download button on Twitter/X, Bluesky and Instagram posts, with a progress percentage and an "already downloaded" mark. • Works on any website: open the popup and click "Enable" to add download buttons to images and videos on that site. • Download by URL: paste a post link, an image or video link, or an .m3u8 stream into the popup. • Right-click menu on any image or video: Download, Download audio only (MP3), Save as GIF, or Copy media link. • Built-in converter: optionally turns WebM, MKV, TS and other formats into MP4, MKV or WebM. • Custom file names: use templates such as {user}_{date}_{index}.{ext}, with {site}, {postId}, {width}, {height} and more. Use "/" to sort files into subfolders automatically. • Download history: search it, download again, or delete entries, and export it as JSON. • Optional extras: a JSON metadata file saved next to each download (author, source link, date), a notification when a download finishes, and a "Save As" dialog for each file. • Back up and restore your settings with one click. HOW TO USE 1. Browse Twitter/X, Bluesky or Instagram and click the download icon on a post. 2. On any other site, open the ExtractMedia popup and click "Enable". 3. Or right-click any image or video, or paste a link into the popup. Files are saved to Downloads/ExtractMedia by default. You can change this in Settings. PRIVACY ExtractMedia does not collect, sell or share any personal data. Your settings, download history and event log stay on your device and can be erased at any time with "Reset all data". The extension only contacts the website you are viewing and its media servers to fetch the files you ask for.
