Overview
Export your UPF class timetable from Virtual Secretary or gestioacadèmica to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook.
Tired of manually copying your UPF timetable to your calendar? With this extension, you can easily export your class schedule from the UPF Virtual Secretary or academic management system and import it into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook or any calendar compatible with .ics files. Calendar Exporter for UPF is an unofficial extension that lets you convert the class calendar of Universitat Pompeu Fabra into an .ics file, so you can add your classes, seminars, exams and academic activities to your personal calendar in just a few clicks. The extension is compatible with the UPF Virtual Secretary calendar and with the public timetable from the academic management system. The Virtual Secretary is the recommended option for better accuracy, but you can also use academic management when you want to view or export public timetables. With this extension you can: - Export your UPF class timetable to an .ics file. - Import your classes into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook and other calendars. - Select only the subjects or events you want to export. - Choose a start date and an end date for the period you want to export. - Create a separate .ics file for each subject, useful if you want to assign different colors in Google Calendar. - Include or exclude holidays and vacation periods. - Add an extended description to events with information such as classroom, building, group, type and notes. - Export seminars with the group shown in the event title. - Use the interface in Catalan, Spanish or English. - Enable dark mode from the settings. - Avoid manually copying every class, seminar, exam or academic activity. The extension runs locally in your browser. It does not collect, sell or transmit personal data, credentials or academic information to external servers. How to use it: 1. Log in to the UPF Virtual Secretary or open academic management. 2. Open the class calendar or timetable. 3. Click the extension icon. 4. Choose the start date and end date of the period you want to export. 5. Click Detect subjects. 6. Select the subjects or events you want to export. 7. Enable the options you need, such as including holidays, adding descriptions or creating one .ics file per subject. 8. Click Export .ics. 9. Import the .ics file into your calendar. If you want each subject to have a different color in Google Calendar, enable the option Create one .ics file for each selected subject. Then, create a different calendar for each subject in Google Calendar and import each .ics file into the corresponding calendar. To import the file into Google Calendar: 1. Open Google Calendar. 2. Go to Settings. 3. Open Import and export. 4. Select the downloaded .ics file. 5. Choose the calendar where you want to add the events. 6. Click Import. Important: if Google Calendar shows the error “Could not import this file. Please try again in a few moments.”, wait about 10 seconds and click Import again. Unofficial extension. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or maintained by Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
