Overview

Checks what employees paste and send to AI sites, on the device, under their employer's policy. Off unless an employer installs it.

Excubitor for Browsers helps an employer keep secrets, personal data and confidential company information off public AI sites, without reading what employees write. It is for organizations. It does nothing unless an employer installs it through browser management with a policy. Installed by hand, it stays off and says so. WHAT IT DOES When an employee pastes into, sends to, or attaches a file on a listed AI site, Excubitor checks it on the device for: • passwords, API keys, access tokens and private keys • personal data such as social security numbers, card numbers and lists of email addresses • the employer's own confidential terms, such as project and customer names • source code, and very large blocks of text or data files The employer chooses what happens: • Observe (the default): nothing is stopped; the event is recorded. • Coach: the employee sees what was found before it goes, and can edit the message or send it anyway. • Withhold: the categories the employer names, such as secrets, are not pasted or sent. WHAT IS RECORDED, AND WHAT IS NOT Recorded: the AI site, whether it was a paste, a message or a file, the kind of content found (for example "card number"), what happened, and a coded identifier for the employee that only the employer can link back to a person. Never recorded: the text that was pasted or sent, the file, or the AI site's answer. The check happens on the device, and the text never leaves it. It does not read keystrokes, other websites, or anything outside the listed AI sites. FOR THE EMPLOYEE The icon is always in the toolbar. One click shows whether it is on, who set it, what leaves the browser, and every record this browser has sent. Employees can download their records and ask for a copy or for erasure. FOR THE SECURITY TEAM Records go to the employer's Excubitor console, hosted by Aurakore or run in the employer's own environment. The console shows counts by site and by kind of content, never a list of people. Setup instructions for administrators: https://aurakore.ai/security/excubitor/downloads/
