Overview
Find quality sources in a shorter time (journal ranking), identify leading studies (sort by citation), and preview abstracts
The ExCITATION extension is a tool for academics, scientists, PhD students, and researchers overall to speed up their literature search in Google Scholar database. 1) SJR (2023) and ABS journal rankings SCImago Journal & Country Rank includes 34100 journals in various disciplines from the Scopus® database (Elsevier B.V.) - color-coded quarters: from Q1 top 25%, to Q4 bottom 25% - Journal Rank indicator. It is a measure of journal's impact, influence or prestige. It expresses the average number of weighted citations received in the selected year by the documents published in the journal in the three previous years - publisher/journal’s country http://www.scimagojr.com 2) Sorting - Sort by SJR journal impact factor - Sort by most cited Currently it sorts by citation number only within one page of search results. 3) One-click paper abstract preview Support us to develop further features, e.g., other journal rankings, predatory journal warnings, CSV export, sorting within more pages and much more. -- CHANGELOG 1.2.0: improved journal matching with queries to crossref API 1.1.0: added ABS; updated SCImago to 2023 1.0.4: updated SCImago to 2022 1.0.3: added "Journals' ratings on author's page"; added "Highlights predatory journals" (PRO version)

Almost no more journal rankings after the update and the design is worse, not better. I preferred the old version.

Dear Manu Burkart, Thank you for your feedback. We're considering adding a setting to display the impact score prominently, rather than just on hover. Would this address your concern? Regarding the journal rankings, the Scimago DB's 2023 update is likely the cause. They removed around 400 journals compared to 2022, including 35 Q1 journals, 59 Q2, 101 Q3, and 246 Q4. If a journal was ranked Q1 in 2022 but is unranked in 2023, it now shows as "NA." We'd appreciate if you could share specific examples via our feedback form so we can investigate further. We're committed to improving and appreciate your input. Best regards, The ExCITATION Team

"Journal of Advanced Research in Applied Sciences and Engineering Technology" is a Q2 journal index by Scopus. Currently your extension shows it as N/A.

"I have noticed that some of my papers in Google Scholar published in "Environmental Technology & Innovation" and "Environmental & Sustainability Indicators" are not showing up in ExCITATION, even though these papers are indexed in Scopus, WoS, and Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR). This is surprising and I am wondering why they are being missed by ExCITATION." https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=j0M-_0sAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao
