Excacloud
Overview
Auto-save, sync, and version history for Excalidraw drawings across devices
Excacloud backs up and syncs your Excalidraw drawings to Google Drive—so your work survives browser clears, new devices, and lost tabs. HOW IT WORKS 1. Install Excacloud and sign in with Google. 2. Open excalidraw.com and draw as usual. 3. Click Sync now in the extension popup. Excacloud saves a standard .excalidraw file in an Excacloud folder in your Google Drive. On your next visit—on this computer or another—you sync again and your shapes come back. YOUR DATA, YOUR DRIVE • Files are stored in your Google account (Excacloud folder). • Excacloud uses the drive.file scope: access only to files the extension creates or you open through it—not your entire Drive. • We don’t host your drawings on Excacloud servers. SMART SYNC • Merges local and cloud changes using Excalidraw’s element versioning, so edits from different sessions can be combined safely. • Saves in the native .excalidraw format—open files on excalidraw.com or from Drive. REQUIREMENTS • Works on excalidraw.com (and *.excalidraw.com). • A Google account with Google Drive. • Internet connection to sync. PERMISSIONS • Google sign-in — connect your account. • excalidraw.com — read and update your drawing for sync. • Google APIs — save and load your .excalidraw file in Drive.
