Overview

Log IEP progress monitoring data in under 10 seconds, without leaving Google Classroom, Docs, or any tab. Free for teachers.

IEP data collection that happens where teaching happens. Evident Capture lets a special education or learning support teacher log an IEP progress monitoring data point in under ten seconds, from inside Google Classroom, a Google Doc, a reading platform, or any other tab. No switching apps. No clipboard on the far counter. No pile of sticky notes to transcribe after dismissal. Open the popup, tap a student, tap a goal, enter the value. Done, and you are back with your class. What you can record Trials, such as 7 of 10 correct Frequency counts Duration Met / not met Prompt level on any entry, so the data reflects how much support the student actually needed Recently used students float to the top of the list. Entries save the instant you tap, then sync in the background. Turn student work into evidence, from the page you are already on Highlight a sentence in a student's Doc and attach it as a quoted work sample with a link back to where it came from. Or take a screenshot, crop it down to just that one student's work, and file it in their evidence timeline. When you sit down to write progress reports, the examples are already there with their dates and their sources attached. See who still needs a data point today The Today view lists your caseload with the students who have no data yet at the top. It is a ten-second glance before the bell instead of a Friday afternoon audit of your own spreadsheet. It keeps working when the building does not Entries are queued locally and sync when you are back online. The portable with the bad Wi-Fi, the corner of the gym, the field trip bus: the data point still lands. Private by design, not by promise No host permissions and no browsing access. Evident Capture cannot see the pages you visit. It reads a page only at the moment you click a capture button, and only the part you selected. No ads, no trackers, no third party analytics inside the extension. Initials only mode hides student names on screen, so you can pull up data at the smartboard or in a co-teaching room without a privacy problem. What you capture goes to your Evident account and nowhere else. Full details, including the permission by permission explanation: evidentk12.com/extension/privacy Getting started takes about three minutes Install the extension and click Connect. It opens Evident so you can sign in or create a free account. Add your students and their goals, or import them if you already have them in Evident. Pin the extension to your toolbar and take your first data point. What is free and what is not The extension is free. A free Evident account holds up to 30 students with 2 active goal charts each, which covers a full class, plus unlimited daily logging, the family portal, and translated family updates. Paid plans, priced for a teacher rather than a district, unlock the documentation side: progress report PDFs, evidence packets, data export, and analytics for meetings. You never lose access to data you have already collected. Who this is for Special education and learning support teachers, resource and self contained classrooms, inclusion co-teachers, and related service providers who need IEP goal tracking that fits inside a teaching day. Built by an independent developer, not a district platform vendor, so it can stay small, fast, and answerable to the person actually using it.
