Fahrenheit to Celsius conversion bug

Hello,

I initially tried to send an email to the address "metric@milosparipovic.com" but it wasn't found when I sent it.

Thank you for developing this useful unit converter extension. I find it very convenient but on my first try of using it, I immediately noticed a bug.

In the Wikipedia article Fahrenheit (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fahrenheit), the very first Fahrenheit temperature "0 °F" does not get converted into Celsius. The sentence is on line 4:

"Several accounts of how he originally defined his scale exist, but the original paper suggests the lower defining point, 0 °F, was established as the freezing temperature of a solution of brine made from a mixture of water, ice, and ammonium chloride (a salt)."

The rest of the text seems to work fine.

There could be a caveat here though since I'm using the web browser Brave and the extension might not be fully compatible with it. I also hope I'm not unintentionally doing something wrong that prevents the extension from working (that shouldn't be possible, right?).

Thank you in advance for fixing the bug. I hope my report helps you improve the extension.

Volume conversion error - Cubit feet to Liters off by factor of 1000

Hi, i have found a bug where the conversion of cubic Feet was converted to Liters incorrectly, the value was off by a factor of 1000. I only noticed as the website already listed the volume in both Cubic Meters and Cubic feet, and i noticed the value listed for Cubic meters and the converted value for liters were very close, which made me suspicous.

450,000 cubic metres (16,000,000 cu ft)【453 071 L】

it works smootly, TOO smoothly, so a suggestion..

just installed it, and it may sound silly but it integrates so well
i'm afraid i'll forget it's there, and incase there's a bug in conversion
(due to possibly mis-reading values, or whatever ) i won't know it.
so it would be great if you could add a tool tip over the converted values (or mabye RCM menu entry) that will show the original values..

Temperature Conversion

Love the extension!
Unsure if you're still actively updating it but an option to disable the rounding of temperature conversions would be a neat feature.
Thanks.

This plugin makes tasks.office.com give the following error on Chrome "Error loading user settings. Please try again. If this continues please contact customer support."

I have to disable the plugin to make the site work, please fix or automatically disable the plugin for this site.

Thanks for this tool by the way, makes my life a lot better!

Overzealous quotation marks

The plugin works great most of the time, but it could be smarter about when it translates inches to cm. From what I can tell, it always translates inches to cm when it registers numbers followed by quotation marks, even when there is a space between. But when it doesn't check the context of this input, it gives some funny results, as numbers followed by quotation marks aren't always inches.

For example, this is the original title of a YouTube video: M12 "Warthog" Force Application Vehicle | Halo

With the plugin activated, it's changed to this: M12 " (30 cm)˜Warthog" Force Application Vehicle | Halo

As any human can tell, there were not actually any inches that needed translation in that title. I suspect that a simple check of what follows the quotation mark should reduce unnecessary translations considerably.

Chances are that if what follows is a letter, number or special symbol, it's something in quotes following a number. If it's a space, break, punctuation marks or end of the text, it's inches that should be translated.

Is this check possible to implement? Or alternatively, are there other ways to reduce unnecessary translations?

No tbps?

I love the idea for the app and actually came looking for it.
However it's not perfect. I see tablespoons aren't converted, and that's fine for liquids but when I get something like 3 tbsp of butter, that's super annoying and I'd have to do the thing that I'm trying to avoid which is open a new tab to convert manually on Google.
Also it doesn't seem to work on everything. Like on one website it says 145 F for temperature and it doesn't seem to convert any of it. Same issue with another website that says 400 degrees although I would imagine that would be trickier to convert since it doesn't mention whether it's F or C (but it's obviously F).
I think that's mainly it.
Great extension nonetheless.

A few suggested improvements

Hi,
First off - great plugin, already rated 5 stars!
Although I found some small issues that might improve the plugin:

When a website is showing units in a range, say 60-80°F, it will only convert the last number as such: 60-80°F (27 °C)˜.
Perhaps make it detect and convert the range?

Some sites already show conversions behind the original unit, so now the plugin makes the conversion again and the result is a double conversion. So from the site linked below, 5-15°C (41-59°F) becomes 5-15°C (41-59°F (15 °C)˜ )
I understand this one might be hard to fix, and it doesn't really bother me.

I noticed both these issues appeared on this site, under "Ongoing Care":
