It pops up on my screen, but it's asking for an assignment code. WHat does this mean, Newsela? My teacher never told me this. And also, how do you use this outside of Newsela?

Admittedly, I do not use NewsELA articles all that often and therefore, I was apprehensive when they announced EverWrite. Yet, I cannot recommend this product enough. While at first it needed some improvements, the EverWrite team quickly improved the system by adding long form support and the ability to bring your own question. Likewise, the fact that it doesn't create or generate any text is a huge relief, allowing me to utilize AI in the classroom without worrying about whether or not stude... Show more

As a certified reading specialist and middle school writing teacher, I love EverWrite as a tool for my students to utilize in the classroom. Not only does the tool allow children to receive immediate feedback on their writing, but it also gives them a note of confidence in their abilities as writers and motivates them to move forward. EverWrite allows children to see their strengths in skills, such as supporting ideas in writing with textual evidence, analysis, and reasoning, which are all ... Show more

I am a learning specialist who works on writing support and enrichment with elementary and middle school children. Regardless of the child, so far they all love the program. They love receiving immediate feedback, which makes them more motivated to revise using EverWrite's highlights and sentence labeling, which demonstrates when they have fulfilled the requirements. The short explanations, examples, and videos that EverWrite provides make it easy for teachers to explain and discuss the impor... Show more

Disappointing because so many of the teachers I work with as a tech coach love Newsela's articles. This is buggy, messes up other extensions like Grammarly and Brisk, and it froze up one of our MS teachers' chromebooks. If you're looking for something similar, I would check out brisk it or grammarly. Two stars because I hope they can fix the issues! I'll come back and update.

I really want to give this a shot, but it makes my docs freeze everytime I open them. I've had to disable it for now.

The simplicity of the EverWrite is its greatest strength. With just a few clicks, I can highlight crucial points, key quotes, and important passages directly within my browser. Gone are the days of fumbling through multiple tabs or losing track of essential information buried within a sea of text.
