EVENTLISTENER
Overview
Monitor tab and page conditions, then run one or more actions when your rules are met.
EVENTLISTENER is a Chrome extension that helps you monitor live browser tabs and automatically respond when selected tab or page conditions are met. It is designed for people who keep important pages running in the browser and want a reliable way to know when something changes, stops, takes too long, or needs attention. Instead of repeatedly checking a tab yourself, you can arm the current tab and let EVENTLISTENER watch it in the background. You choose which signals matter, configure the exact conditions to watch for, and decide what actions should run when a rule is triggered. EVENTLISTENER can monitor many types of tab and page activity. It can watch for URL changes, title changes, long loading states, audio activity, periods of silence, click inactivity, click bursts, scroll inactivity, scroll depth, keyboard inactivity, typing bursts, page visibility changes, and DOM mutations. This makes it useful for workflows where a page may update, stall, finish loading, change state, start or stop activity, or require action after a period of time. When a monitored condition is triggered, EVENTLISTENER can run one or more actions automatically. It can play a selected alarm sound, show a desktop notification, send a configured shortcut into the monitored page, attempt to stop an active screen share, close the tab, or disarm monitoring for that tab. Multiple actions can be combined, so a single rule can notify you, play sound, and then clean up the tab if needed. The popup is built for fast control. From the popup, you can arm the current tab, disarm it, disarm all monitored tabs, test the alarm sound, stop an active alarm, and open the full dashboard. This makes it easy to start monitoring without leaving the page you are working on. The dashboard gives you more detailed control. You can configure saved default rules, choose trigger actions, preview alarm sounds, set shortcut behavior, and review all currently monitored tabs. The live coverage view shows which tabs are armed, what conditions are active, and what actions will run when those conditions are met. EVENTLISTENER is useful for monitoring dashboards, waiting rooms, checkout flows, upload pages, media pages, queue pages, long-running tasks, screen sharing sessions, auto-refreshing pages, and any web workflow where you want a clear signal or automatic action when something changes. Key features include: - Monitor multiple event types from the same tab - Configure detailed rule conditions instead of simple on/off triggers - Watch URL changes, title changes, and long loading states - Watch click inactivity and click bursts - Watch scroll inactivity and scroll depth - Watch keyboard inactivity and typing bursts - Watch page visibility changes - Watch DOM changes and mutation bursts - Monitor audio states, including long silent or active periods - Run multiple actions when a rule fires - Play selectable alarm sounds in the background - Show desktop notifications with alarm details - Send configurable shortcuts into monitored pages - Attempt to stop page-managed screen sharing - Close tabs automatically after a rule fires - Disarm tabs automatically after a rule fires - Save reusable default rule setups - Apply saved defaults quickly from the popup - Review every armed tab from the dashboard - Preview alarm sounds before saving them - Configure shortcuts with keyboard capture or manual selection EVENTLISTENER is built for practical browser monitoring.
