Overview

Strip C2PA, XMP, EXIF, IPTC and PNG metadata from images locally, then save a clean copy. Nothing is uploaded.

Image files carry hidden metadata beyond the pixels: camera and location data (EXIF), editing history and generation tags (XMP), and cryptographic provenance manifests (C2PA / "Content Credentials"). Social platforms scan this metadata on upload. It is what drives automatic "Made with AI" / "AI info" labels, and it can also leak where and how a photo was made. Eraiser strips that metadata before you post. • Local only. Everything runs in your browser. Images are never uploaded, the extension sends nothing to any server, and it has no analytics and no account. • Lossless. For JPEG, PNG and WebP the compressed image data is left byte-for-byte identical; only the metadata segments are removed. Same pixels, same quality. AVIF is re-encoded to PNG, WebP or JPEG (your choice). • Batch. Drop up to 30 images at once, or paste one straight from the clipboard. • Right-click. "Clean AI metadata & save image" on any image on any page. The popup keeps a record of recent cleans. • Verified. Each cleaned file is re-scanned after cleaning and marked clean, so you can see it worked. • Your choice. Keep or drop the ICC colour profile; set the output quality and filename. What Eraiser does not do: it does not remove pixel-level / invisible watermarks (e.g. SynthID), and it is not a substitute for disclosure where a platform's rules or the law require it. Use it on files you own.
