Overview
Connect Equinox Local to Chrome so an agent can inspect and interact with browser tabs under your control.
Equinox Browser is the first-party Chrome companion for Equinox Local. It gives a user-authorized AI agent browser access through a locally installed Native Messaging bridge. Browser control starts off on a fresh install. Before any browser inspection can begin, the extension shows a prominent browser-data disclosure and requires the user to explicitly enable browser control. Browser control can be turned off at any time. When enabled for a user-requested task, Equinox Browser can inspect tabs and page content, navigate, click, fill forms, capture screenshots, handle user-requested downloads, and use limited console/network metadata when needed. Data is sent first to the user's local Equinox Local runtime and may be sent to the AI service selected by the user only as needed to perform the requested task. The extension requests no broad host permissions. It uses Chrome's debugger, tabs, downloads, nativeMessaging, alarms, and storage permissions only for this browser-control workflow and for local preference and consent state. Equinox Browser requires the separately installed Equinox Local runtime.
