EpubDock is a browser extension for writing ebooks locally. Create books, manage chapters in Markdown, set cover and metadata, preview the finished book, then export a standards-compliant EPUB—all on your device. Only in your browser on this device. When switching devices, export a project backup first, then import it on the new device. Is my data safe? Book content stays on your device by default and is not uploaded to the cloud. See the privacy policy. What format do I export? A standards-compliant EPUB generated in the browser, ready for common ebook readers. What if I switch computers or clear browser data? Export a JSON project backup or EPUB first—clearing data removes local manuscripts. Do I need an account to write? No. Install and start writing right away. V 1.0.1: - AI writing assist (licensed · bring your own key)—continue, rewrite, expand, book outlines, and batch chapter drafts. Requests go straight to your provider; EpubDock does not proxy. V 1.0.2: - Optional table-of-contents page: turn it on in book info to insert a clickable chapter list between the title page and the body when exporting EPUB.
