Hearth
Overview
A custom new tab page with cards for your favourite websites and locations.
Hearth replaces your new tab page with a calm, customizable home base for the sites and places you use most. Organise your favourite websites into tidy groups of cards — Favourites, Work, Reading, anything you like — and reach them in a click. Everything is editable right on the page; there are no config files to touch. FEATURES • Grouped link cards with automatic favicons • Quick-add bar — paste a URL and a card is created for you • Drag and drop to reorder cards or move them between groups • Collapsible groups for the ones you don't always need • Built-in search bar (Google, DuckDuckGo, or Bing) • Keyboard navigation — arrow keys to move, Enter to open, 1–9 to jump • A personal greeting that can use your name, plus an optional focus line • Notes scratchpad — a sticky note that saves as you type • Themes: Light, Dark, or match your system • Custom backgrounds: solid colour, gradient, your own image, or a fresh daily photo • Per-card options: emoji icons, accent colours, open in a new tab • Import/export your whole setup as a backup file • Settings sync across your signed-in browser PRIVACY Hearth keeps everything on your device. Your cards, notes, and settings are stored in your browser's own storage and are never sent anywhere. The optional "greeting name" feature reads your signed-in account email locally to suggest a first name — nothing is transmitted, and you can turn it off or type any name instead. Open a new tab and make it yours.
