IMDb to Letterboxd Transfer

Move your IMDb watchlist, ratings and watch dates to your Letterboxd diary in one click.

Move your entire IMDb history to Letterboxd in one click — watchlist, ratings and the dates you watched each title. HOW IT WORKS 1. Sign in to IMDb and Letterboxd in Chrome. 2. Click "Export to Letterboxd" on IMDb, "Import from IMDb" on Letterboxd, or the extension's toolbar button. 3. The extension collects your IMDb watchlist, ratings and check-ins, uploads them to Letterboxd's importer, waits for matching to finish, clicks "Import titles" and opens your Letterboxd diary. WHAT GETS TRANSFERRED • Every title on your IMDb watchlist, plus everything you have rated or checked in — films, series, specials, shorts and more. • Your 1–10 IMDb ratings, converted to Letterboxd stars. • Watch dates: the date you added a title on IMDb becomes its diary date on Letterboxd, so your diary reflects when you actually watched it. • Letterboxd imports every title that exists in its database; titles it doesn't carry (for example most TV series) are skipped by Letterboxd. REVIEW MISSING TITLES (OPTIONAL) Tick "Review missing titles" in the extension popup and the transfer pauses after matching, showing only the titles Letterboxd couldn't find. Check them, then click "Import titles" yourself. By default everything runs automatically. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Runs entirely in your browser — no servers, no accounts, no tracking. • Works with the IMDb and Letterboxd sessions you're already signed in to; never asks for or sees your passwords. • The transfer file is never saved to your disk and is deleted as soon as the import finishes. NOTES • Large libraries take a few minutes while Letterboxd matches titles — keep the Letterboxd tab open. • Running the transfer again is safe: an entry for the same title and date is updated, not duplicated.
