Overview

Save Facebook Marketplace searches to Marketplace Tracker for advanced filters and email alerts on new listings.

Finding a good deal on Marketplace usually means running the same search over and over and scrolling through listings manually, many of which you've already seen or aren't relevant. Marketplace Tracker runs the searches for you, filters out what you don't want to see, and emails you when new listings match. This extension is the quick way to set that up. It does one thing: it captures the Marketplace search you're currently looking at and saves it to your Marketplace Tracker account, so you don't have to type it in again. The filtering, scheduling, and alerts all happen in the app at marketplacetracker.ca. HOW IT WORKS 1. Search Facebook Marketplace as usual. Add your keywords, price range, and "listed within" filter. 2. When the extension spots a search it can track, a "Track This Search" button appears beside the "Search results" heading. Click it. 3. Check what it picked up: query, location, price range, listing age, and vehicle year and mileage when the search has them. You can edit the query before saving. 4. Click Save Search. From there, Marketplace Tracker checks the search on a schedule and emails you when new listings show up. You'll need a Marketplace Tracker account. It's free, and it's created the first time you sign in with Google from the extension. WHAT THE MARKETPLACE TRACKER APP ADDS (marketplacetracker.ca) Once a search is saved, open it in the app to refine it: - Email alerts that separate new listings from ones you've already seen - Price-drop flags when a listing you've seen gets cheaper - Title keyword rules, like requiring "dewalt AND (drill OR driver)" - A distance radius around an address, plus towns you want to exclude - Vehicle filters for year and mileage - Your choice of alert delivery time - A preview of the exact Marketplace URL each search requests, so you can open it and check the results yourself PLANS The extension is free. Plans apply to the Marketplace Tracker service. Every new account starts with 30 days of unlimited access, then continues on Basic — free, up to 3 active searches with daily alerts. Premium adds unlimited searches, hourly alerts, and price trends that show how each listing compares with the average price for that search. PRIVACY The extension only reads the URL of the Marketplace search you're viewing. When you press Save Search it sends the search terms and filters to Marketplace Tracker, along with the Google sign-in token that identifies your account. It doesn't read your Facebook messages, profile, page content, or browsing history.
