EnvHop makes switching between deployment environments effortless for developers and QA engineers. KEY FEATURES • One-Click Switching: Click the toolbar icon to instantly cycle through your environments (Local → Dev → Staging → Production) • Context Preservation: Maintains your current page path, query parameters, and URL fragments (configurable) • Smart Setup Overlay: When a site isn’t configured, an in-page overlay appears for click-to-save configuration • Related Detection: If a site looks related to an existing project, EnvHop offers a “Related” setup mode • Visual Indicators: Toolbar badge shows your current environment at a glance (L/D/S/P) • Keyboard Shortcuts: Power users can switch environments with 1/2/3/4 keys inside the overlay • Privacy-First: All configuration stored locally—no servers, no tracking, no data collection HOW IT WORKS 1. Visit a site you want to configure 2. Click the EnvHop icon to open the setup overlay 3. Click an environment chip to save (Local, Dev, Staging, Prod) 4. Done! Now clicking the icon cycles through your saved environments EnvHop preserves your current page context, so switching from staging.example.com/orders/123?tab=details takes you to prod.example.com/orders/123?tab=details instantly. TECHNICAL DETAILS • Built with Manifest V3 • Uses activeTab + scripting (only runs when you click the icon) • No remote code, no external CDNs • Stores config in chrome.storage.local
