EntryDesk
Overview
Record web meeting and microphone audio with an explicit consent-first workflow.
EntryDesk records supported web meetings without adding a bot participant, then turns the conversation into a transcript, summary, and next steps in your EntryDesk workspace. Recording begins only after you confirm that participants have been informed and consented, and then click Start recording. A visible indicator, toolbar badge, and timer remain on screen while capture is active. Data and control: - Captures audio only from the selected meeting tab and your microphone. - Supports Google Meet, Zoom Web, and Microsoft Teams Web. - Reads the supported meeting URL and tab title to recognize the meeting, match an EntryDesk calendar event, and label the recording. - Loads upcoming meeting titles, times, conference links, and available workspaces from your signed-in EntryDesk account. - Requests a short-lived EntryDesk authentication token only when needed. The token is held in memory and is not saved in Chrome storage. - Stores audio temporarily in browser-managed local storage while recording. After you stop, the audio is uploaded over HTTPS to the selected EntryDesk workspace and the browser copy is removed. - Downloads a local WebM backup if authentication or upload fails. If that download also fails, the browser copy is retained so you can retry. - Does not capture meeting video, request camera access, read unrelated tabs, inject ads, modify search, or sell user data. Key features: - Consent-first recording flow - Meeting-tab and microphone audio without a bot participant or system-audio picker - Calendar-meeting matching across EntryDesk workspaces - Visible recording indicator, toolbar badge, and elapsed timer - Secure upload for transcript, summary, and next-step processing - Recoverable local backup when upload fails Requirements: - An active EntryDesk account and workspace - A signed-in app.entrydesk.com workspace open in another Chrome tab - Google Chrome 121 or newer Desktop Zoom and Teams applications are not supported. EntryDesk operates only on the supported meeting domains, app.entrydesk.com, and api.entrydesk.com. Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams are trademarks of their respective owners. EntryDesk is not endorsed by or affiliated with those owners. Chrome side panel: Click the EntryDesk toolbar icon on the meeting tab to open the side panel. Select your meeting and workspace, confirm participant consent, and click Start recording. Keep the panel open to follow recording status and stop the recording. Version 0.3.5: One recording at a time. The side panel shows the bound meeting, workspace, and original browser tab, with a button to return to that tab. Switching tabs does not change the recording target. Stopping shows a separate finalizing state before upload. Interrupted uploads can be retried to the original meeting, or saved as a local backup; the browser copy is retained until upload or backup download is confirmed.
