EnterSafe: Enter for Newline in AI Chats

Enter adds a line break and Ctrl/Cmd+Enter sends in AI chat boxes. No more half-written prompts sent by accident.

Stop sending half-written prompts. With EnterSafe, pressing Enter in an AI chat adds a new line, and the message is only sent when you press Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac). AI chat boxes send on Enter. That is fine for one-liners, but it bites as soon as you write a longer prompt, paste code and want to add a note under it, or type through an input method editor where Enter also confirms a word. Every accidental send costs a message from your limit and a few seconds of waiting for an answer you did not want. None of the big chat sites has a setting for it. EnterSafe is that setting. WHAT IT DOES - Enter adds a new line instead of sending. - Ctrl+Enter or Cmd+Enter sends. - Enter that confirms Japanese, Chinese or Korean text composition never sends the message. - Turn it off for a single site, or pause it everywhere, from the toolbar button. - A small reminder appears the first time Enter adds a line on a page, so you are never left wondering why nothing was sent. One click hides it for good. - Local counters show how many Enters were kept as new lines. MAKE IT YOURS - Your own sites: add Slack, Discord, Teams, DeepSeek, Le Chat, a self-hosted chat or any page with a text box. Chrome asks for access to that one site only. - A send key per site: Ctrl/Cmd+Enter, Shift+Enter or Alt+Enter. - Double-Enter to send: press Enter twice quickly instead of using a shortcut. - Every site is shown with its own logo, so the list is easy to scan. BUILT NOT TO GO STALE EnterSafe listens for the Enter key itself rather than depending on the exact layout of each site, and it sends by replaying the key press the site expects when a send button cannot be found. Small redesigns of a chat site should not break it. PRIVATE BY DESIGN EnterSafe does not read, store or transmit what you type. It makes no network requests at all, has no analytics and no account.
