Overview

Displays the ChromeOS Directory Device ID.

Enterprise Device ID Tool is a lightweight utility designed for System Administrators, Help Desk Technicians, and Enterprise Users. This extension solves the common problem of quickly identifying a Chromebook's unique identifier without digging through system logs or navigating complex menus. It retrieves the Directory Device ID (used by the Google Admin SDK) directly via the enterprise.deviceAttributes API. Key Features: Instant Access: Click the extension icon to immediately view the 32-character UUID. Asset Management: Verify device identity for inventory or troubleshooting. Lightweight: Runs only when clicked; no background resource usage. Requirements: OS: ChromeOS only. Management: The device must be enrolled in a Google Workspace domain (Enterprise/Education). Note: This extension will display "Unsupported" on unmanaged devices or Windows/Mac/Linux.
