Overview

Adds a laser pointer to any browser tab, making it easier for your audience to follow along during video calls.

*** COMPLETELY RE-DESIGNED! Version 3.0 is here. *** Turn your mouse into a laser pointer on any Chrome tab, so everyone on the call sees exactly where you're pointing. When you share your screen, your cursor is a tiny arrow lost in a busy page. Your viewers hunt for it, and you hear "wait, where are you pointing?". AnyTab Laser Pointer leaves a bright laser trail behind your mouse (like the one in Google Slides) on every website: dashboards, documents, designs and YES... spreadsheets! WHAT YOU CAN DO - Point: a glowing trail follows your mouse and fades behind it. - Click: every click drops a dot your viewers can't miss. - Highlight: draw a circle or a box around something to frame it, or scribble over it to color it in. NEW IN 3.0 - Rebuilt from scratch: a smoother trail that no website can hide or distort, and that stays on the content when you scroll. - Works inside embedded content: the trail flows straight into embedded slides, dashboards and widgets. - Gesture detection rewritten: it recognizes circles, boxes and scribbles at any size, with any mouse, and normal pointing no longer sets them off. - Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+L switches the laser on and off without leaving your presentation. - New panel with a live preview: try colors, width and fade, and practise your gestures before you go live. Changes apply instantly. - Nothing leaves your browser: no tracking, no usage statistics, and the only permission it asks for is saving your settings. Point, Direct, Engage. Never lose your viewers again. CHANGELOG v3.0 - October 27th, 2026 - Completely re-designed: new drawing engine, new settings panel with live preview. - The laser now works inside embedded frames (slides, dashboards, widgets). - Rewritten, more accurate gesture detection for circles, boxes and scribbles. - New keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+L to turn the laser on and off. - Removed the daily tab counter, usage statistics and pop-ups on the page. The rating link now lives in the panel. - Many bug fixes and performance improvements. v2.0 - February 11th, 2024 - Highlight Gesture Detection: it recognizes when you're pointing at an element on the page to show it to your viewers and it adds on the page a shape to highlight that element! - Minor fixes and performance improvements. v1.5 - February 7th, 2024 - Fixed bug: improved variable naming so that it won't interfere with the debug environment of developers. FIXED. v1.4 - December 12th, 2023 - Fixed bug: the laser trail did not display when scrolling up the page. FIXED. v1.3 - December 12th, 2023 - Improved the count of tabs used in a day. - Improved the implementation of the rating popup to make it more user-friendly. v1.2 - December 11th, 2023 - Added in-extension rating support. v1.1 - December 9th, 2023 - Fixed an issue that was causing the mouse trail to go off-screen and the browser reacting by adding the horizontal scroll bar. - Other minor fixes Please, leave a review! It helps more people find the extension. Thank you for using AnyTab Laser Pointer. _
