Version 2.0 is a major rewrite: reusable Recipes, an inline Enhance pill on gemini.google.com, a Recipe Builder, and a right-click menu that stays in sync with your library. Pick a Focus (Auto, Coding, Marketing, Content, Image Generation—or any Focus-compatible Recipe you create), hit Enhance, and your draft is rewritten in place with clearer framing. No floating orb, no modal palette—just refine where you already type. • Recipes (prompt templates you own) Recipes are reusable prompt templates with Smart Variables: - {{prompt}} — whatever you’ve typed in Gemini (powers Focus / the Enhance pill) - {{selection}} — selected text on any page (powers the context menu) - {{page.title}}, {{page.url}}, {{page.text}} — page context when you need it - {{input:…}} — ask yourself a quick question each run (tone, goal, topic, …) Recipes are data, never code—safe to edit, duplicate, and share later. • Built-ins you can customize Five general Recipes: Improve Writing, Explain This, Summarize Page, Draft Reply, Analyze Company/Page. Five Focus Recipes: Auto, Coding, Marketing, Content, Image Generation. Every built-in is editable, duplicable, and disableable. Duplicate a Focus in the Recipe Builder to tune it without touching the original. • Recipe Builder Create, edit, enable/disable, delete, and duplicate Recipes. Start with simple toggles, or open Advanced to edit the raw template with Smart Variable syntax. Changes show up in already-open Gemini tabs—no reload required. • Right-click anywhere Select text on any page → Enhance Gemini → run a selection-compatible Recipe. The menu rebuilds automatically from your Recipe library. • Launcher from any tab Open the Enhance launcher to ask Gemini quickly or run a saved Recipe without hunting through menus. • First-run onboarding A short interactive walkthrough teaches the Enhance pill—shown on fresh installs and when upgrading from earlier versions, since 2.0 changes how you work with Gemini. • Privacy-minded by design Works with the permissions it needs (including activeTab + scripting for on-demand injection, and storage for your Recipes). No telemetry layer in 2.0. Your Recipes stay in chrome.storage.local on your machine. Or select text anywhere → right-click → Enhance Gemini. 5. Open Manage / Recipe Builder to rename, duplicate, or invent your own Recipes.
