Block comments by author on YouTube pages
YouTube Comment Blocker Block unwanted YouTube comments locally by author name. Hide comments from specific authors on YouTube and manage your blocked list directly in the extension. YouTube Comment Blocker helps you keep comment sections cleaner by hiding comments from authors you choose to block. This extension works locally in your browser and lets you manage your blocked authors list with simple controls. You can add authors manually, block all comments on the current page, review blocked authors, and import or export your list for backup. It is designed for users who want a lighter and more personal way to manage the YouTube comment experience without complicated setup. - Block comments by author name on YouTube pages - Hide all comments on the current page with one click - Manage blocked authors in a dedicated list page - Save your blocked list as a backup file - Merge a saved list into your current list - Replace your current list with a saved backup Version 1.0.2 Update - Improved the manage and support pages so their background colors automatically adjust to Chrome's light and dark modes. - Added a Ko-fi support button to the support page. Version 1.0.3 Update - To prevent the popup from slowing down when the block list becomes large, the popup now displays up to 100 blocked users. You can view the full list in “Manage blocked users.” - Fixed an issue where replies did not reappear until refreshing the page after unblocking them. - Improved block list storage stability. The app does not set a separate limit on the number of users you can block, but large block lists may still be affected by browser storage limits, so storage and display handling for large lists has been improved. Version 1.0.4 Update - Redesigned the Block button on YouTube comments. It now appears as a red button with an icon, lines up neatly with the author name and time, and works in both light and dark themes. - The blocked list in the popup and on the “Manage blocked users” page is now sorted by most recently blocked. Authors blocked before this update keep their previous order, and newly blocked authors are shown at the top. Version 1.0.5 Update - Added two display options to the popup. Both are off by default and apply to open YouTube tabs right away, without refreshing the page. - Simplified Block button: turn on “Show block button as icon only” to replace the Block button next to each comment with a small icon that matches YouTube's layout. Hovering over the icon shows a “Block” tooltip and turns the icon red. - Hide the “Blocked comment” label: turn on “Also hide the ‘Blocked comment’ label” to hide blocked comments completely instead of showing the label in their place. Other people's replies to those comments stay visible. - The default Block button now shows only the “Block” text, without an icon, and uses a darker red that stands out less on the page. Version 1.0.6 Update - Added Simplified Chinese. When Chrome's language is set to Simplified Chinese, the extension name, popup, manage page, and support page appear in Simplified Chinese. On YouTube pages displayed in Chinese, the Block button and the “Blocked comment” label also appear in Simplified Chinese.
