Overview

Auto-fill and clear EMSCharts PCR defaults in one click. Requires an approved crew account to sign in.

ChartAssist injects a floating, draggable toolbar into your EMSCharts patient care reports to speed up documentation and reduce repetitive data entry. What's new (v1.8.0.1): IMPORTANT: signing in is now required. The toolbar on EMSCharts stays locked until you sign in from the extension popup with an approved account (or a temporary access code). Once you're in you stay signed in for a month. Signing in sends only your login details, never any patient data. Getting Access: • Create your own account in the popup with your email. If your email or its domain is already approved, you're in right away. • Not pre-approved? Request access. ==> Pick your crew and your request goes straight to that crew's admin — sign in as soon as they approve it. • Temporary access codes: unlock the extension for a set time (like a 24-hour ride-along), no account needed. • Self-service email confirmation and password reset, each with a 6-digit code sent to your inbox. For crew admins: • A new 'Admin console' to approve or deny access requests, manage who's pre-approved, and set member roles (Member, QA auditor, Crew admin) — no IT or database needed. Each crew only ever sees and manages its own people. Other improvements: • Customizable Page 8 buttons. Choose which quick-fill presets (On Scene, Transport, At Hospital, Refusal) appear on the billing/narrative page, and add up to four of your own titled presets. • More dependable in the field. No surprise sign-outs on hospital or venue Wi-Fi, clearer on-screen messages, and keyboard and screen-reader-friendly controls. What it does: • AutoComplete — fills supported PCR fields with your saved defaults in one click. Configure your defaults once in the Options page; the extension applies them every time. • Preset buttons — page-specific quick-fill buttons for common workflows. Page 1 includes Base location presets and ALS\BLS Staffing presets. Pages 5 and 8 include Trauma, Medical, Refusal, and transport presets. • Clear Fields — blanks all auto-filled fields on the current page with a single click after a confirmation prompt. • QA Mode — lock the toolbar with one click from the extension popup to prevent accidental field changes while reviewing a completed chart. The toolbar snaps to a fixed position and all buttons are disabled until QA Mode is turned off. • Export & Import defaults — back up your saved defaults to a JSON file or restore them on another device. Makes it easy to share a standard set of defaults with colleagues. Supported pages: Page 1 – Page 5, Page 8 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Privacy This extension does not store, transmit, or access any patient data. Only the template default values you manually enter in the Options page are saved — nothing from actual PCRs is ever read or retained. Your defaults are stored in Chrome's built-in storage.sync and sync across your signed-in Chrome devices. This is an independent, unofficial tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by emsCharts, Inc.
