Empedance DLP keeps your company's sensitive data where it belongs. It checks what employees paste, type and upload in the browser, and stops company data going into AI tools, personal file-sharing sites and websites your organisation doesn't allow. This extension is for organisations that use Empedance DLP. It is installed and configured by your company's IT team and connects to your organisation's Empedance DLP server. WHAT IT DOES - AI tools: checks pastes and uploads to ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and other AI tools, and blocks company data from being shared. AI tools can be allowed or blocked per team. - Sensitive data: detects payment card numbers, passwords, API keys, OTPs, Indian ID numbers, bank and UPI details, and your own custom rules (for example customer lists or project names) before they leave the browser. - File uploads: blocks uploads to personal file-sharing and other chosen sites, for chosen people or groups, with exceptions. - Website blocking: blocks websites your company doesn't allow on work devices, with a clear message explaining why. - Clear messages: when something is blocked, the employee sees what was found and why, so they know what to do instead. - Employee popup: shows the person's protection status and the policies that apply to them. - Central policies: IT sets rules in the Empedance DLP admin console for everyone, for groups or for named people. Rules update automatically, and employees can check for new rules at any time. - Managed deployment: IT can install the extension and set the server address and enrolment key automatically with Google Workspace, Microsoft Intune or Group Policy. HOW IT WORKS 1. Your IT team installs the extension and enrols the device. 2. The extension downloads your organisation's policy. 3. When you paste, upload or visit a site the policy covers, the extension checks it against your organisation's rules and allows, warns or blocks. PRIVACY The extension only sends what's needed to apply your organisation's policy, and only to your organisation's own Empedance DLP server. It never sends data to Empedance for advertising, and doesn't sell or share data with third parties. Requires an Empedance DLP account for your organisation.
