Overview
Create and lookup email aliases and optionally create unique personas for a web site.
eMayl browser extension simplifies managing email aliases (we call eMaylias) and personas for websites. It can create and look up an eMaylias and persona effortlessly based on the current web site, helping to organize and protect your inbox by keeping your real email address private. With eMayl, you can maintain control over your digital identity by generating unique personas tailored to different sites, reducing unwanted emails and enhancing your online privacy. This extension integrates smoothly with your web experience, providing quick access to essential features without disrupting your normal browsing. Whether you want to separate personal and professional communications, track where and how often your email is being used, or avoid spam by using site-specific aliases, eMayl offers a straightforward solution. It helps you keep your online interactions organized and secure, making it easier to manage multiple accounts and maintain privacy across various websites. Key Features: - Easy creation and lookup of email aliases (eMaylias) to protect your main inbox. - Ability to create unique personas for different websites, enhancing privacy. - Supports managing multiple aliases in one place for better organization. - Designed to work quietly in the background without interrupting your browsing. - In coordination with our web app, emayl.app, each eMaylias can be tracked to show frequency and the most recent message received and, if needed, disabled to stop receiving messages. How It Works: 1. Install the eMayl extension from your browser's store. 2. Open the extension and sign in with your email address — new accounts are created right in the extension with a one-time code and a quick setup form. No separate sign-up needed. 3. While on a web site, press the keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+E, or for Mac Command+Shift+E) for instant popup activation to create or look up an existing eMaylias as needed. 4. Assign eMaylias to specific websites to keep your email usage organized. Privacy: - The browser extension does not collect personal data. This extension only interacts with necessary eMayl services and does not track or harvest your browsing data. eMayl offers a clear, efficient way to manage your email aliases and personas, helping you maintain order and privacy without added complexity.
