AIBlock: Hide AI Overviews & Pause AI

Hide Google AI Overviews, clean up selected Workspace AI entry points, and pause before common AI tools. Free, local, no account.

AIBlock is a free Chrome extension that adds lightweight browser guardrails for more intentional AI use. SEARCH PROTECTION Hide supported Google AI Overview and AI Mode surfaces, return AI Mode searches to standard Google results, and keep ordinary search results available. AI PAUSE Take a short pause before common AI tools, with reminders to ask for hints, check sources, and write in your own words. AI SITE WARNING See a calm reminder to verify facts, avoid sharing private information, and keep important work in your own words. GOOGLE AI CLEANUP Hide selected Gemini upsell surfaces and selected AI entry points or verified recommendation and upgrade surfaces in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, and Drive. Workspace products have separate controls. YOU STAY IN CONTROL Choose the protections you want in Settings. A fresh installation starts paused until you enable protection. Turn a feature off to restore surfaces hidden by that feature. LOCAL AND FREE No extension account, analytics, or tracking. Core protections are free. Settings and limited non-query protection status stay locally in Chrome. AIBlock locally inspects supported interface metadata and selected visible interface text to identify supported AI surfaces. Coverage depends on the website interface, account, language, plan, and rollout. AIBlock does not remove every AI feature, disable AI services, or block AI network requests. It is not a chatbot, AI detector, or monitoring tool. WHAT'S NEW IN 1.1.2 - Restore ordinary Google Search controls and results when dynamic elements no longer match supported AI surfaces. - Keep supported Gemini upsells hidden when the website rewrites their display style. - Enable protection again from Onboarding after pausing it in Popup, without reloading the extension page. - No new permissions or supported products.
