Record Zoom Meeting is a Zoom recorder for Chrome: one click to start, one click to stop, and the call is saved as a video you can watch, edit and download. WHAT YOU GET • A meeting recorder for any call you open in Chrome: the meeting tab with everyone's audio and your microphone, saved together in one file. • A screen recorder with audio: record a tab, a window or your whole screen. • Your camera in a small bubble on top of the video, if you turn it on. • Video quality from 360p to 4K. Before you start, you see about how many megabytes a minute will take. • Download as MP4 or WebM right after the call. • Recent recordings are kept as local backups, so an interrupted recording can often be recovered. DURING THE CALL • A countdown before the recording starts, so you have time to switch to the meeting. • Pause and resume when part of the conversation should stay off the record. • Turn your microphone on and off from the toolbar. • Drawing tools: highlighter, shapes and arrows to point at slides or a shared document. • A blur tool to hide emails, names or numbers on a page before they end up in the video. • Cursor highlight, spotlight and click effects for walkthroughs and demos. • Hide the toolbar when you do not need it. Pin the extension: click the puzzle icon in Chrome's toolbar, then the pin. 2. Allow screen and microphone access once. The camera is optional. 3. Open your meeting in Chrome, press Start recording and pick the meeting tab with "Share tab audio" on. 4. When the call ends, press Stop recording. The video opens in a new tab, ready to download or edit. To record a Zoom meeting with every participant's voice, choose the meeting's tab and keep audio sharing on. TIPS FOR A GOOD RECORDING • Join the call in Chrome, in the browser version of the meeting, so its tab can be recorded with sound. • Wear headphones. Then your microphone picks up only you, not the call a second time. • For calls longer than 30 minutes, 720p keeps the file small and the recording smooth. 1080p and 4K suit short demos. • Keep the meeting tab open until you press Stop recording. • Choose a local backup folder once, and a copy of every recording is saved there as well. QUESTIONS Only my voice was recorded. Why? Chrome did not receive the tab's sound. Stop, start again, choose the meeting tab and turn on "Share tab audio" in Chrome's window. Does it work with a desktop meeting app? It is made for calls in Chrome. You can record a desktop app's window or your whole screen, but other people's voices may not be captured on every computer, so the browser version is more reliable. Where are my recordings stored? On your computer. Nothing is uploaded unless you save to Google Drive or ask for an AI transcript.
