Electric Café Suitcase is a hotel comparison and stay-planning assistant for the official Hilton and IHG websites. It brings together cash rates, points requirements, redemption values, and hotel information to help you choose your travel dates, hotel, and payment method. Key Features • Cash and points calendar: View total points, cash rates, and value per 10,000 points for your selected length of stay. Filter by dates, weekends, and points budget. • Two valuation methods: Compare against the cash rate for the selected date, or use the median or average of collected rates as a typical-price reference. Click the value threshold to adjust it with a slider or enter an exact amount. Dates meeting your threshold are highlighted. • Saved hotels and side-by-side comparisons: Compare cash rates, points, redemption values, ratings, and amenities under the same stay conditions. Better values are highlighted, with the differences shown. • Currency conversion: Comparison amounts are converted into your selected valuation currency, while original rates and the exchange-rate date remain available. Points amounts stay unchanged. • Interactive tutorial: Learn how to use the calendar, valuation methods, thresholds, currencies, and hotel comparisons through guided highlights and hands-on demonstrations. Start or skip the tutorial on first use, then reopen it anytime from the panel’s tutorial link or the extension’s options page. Practice does not change your actual saved hotels or settings. Supported Websites Hilton: Supports the official booking calendar, optional searches of adjacent months, verification of rates for the entire stay, and estimates for stays potentially eligible for the fifth-night-free benefit. Missing rates in hotel comparisons can be retrieved manually. Eligibility for five-night benefits remains subject to membership requirements and hotel rules. IHG: Supports standard public rates and reward stays for one room with adults only. Once the website’s search is ready, the extension retrieves rates for the current month and automatically searches when you switch months. Opening a comparison of selected hotels retrieves missing or expired rates, official hotel ratings, and amenities in the background, while reusing valid cached data. When used on IHG corporate, group, or special-rate pages, the extension leaves the website’s search conditions unchanged and separately retrieves standard public rates for reference, excluding negotiated discounts. IHG child-inclusive rates and free-night benefit estimates are not currently supported. If a cash supplement for a points booking has not been confirmed, the displayed value is a reference estimate that does not deduct that unknown supplement. Data and Usage Rates, saved hotels, and settings are stored locally in your browser and managed separately for Hilton and IHG. Both websites share the first-use tutorial prompt record, so refreshing, switching websites, clearing rates, or updating the extension will not trigger the prompt again. Rate searches access the relevant hotel’s official website. Exchange rates are requested from Frankfurter when needed. An optional Google hotel information feature is available for Hilton. The extension does not book automatically or access passwords or payment information. Hotel rates, availability, and benefits may change. Cached data does not guarantee current availability. Reference valuations may compare offers with different room types, meal plans, or cancellation and change policies. Availability on individual nights does not guarantee that the same room type can be booked for the entire stay. Always confirm final prices, taxes and fees, room availability, and redemption rules on the official website. This extension is an independently developed travel tool.
