Overview
Sends your ER0000.sl2 to the tracker page while you play. Nothing ever leaves your computer.
Your progress on the Elden Ring Tracker map updates by itself while you play: after every save the extension hands the fresh ER0000.sl2 to the open tracker tab. You never pick the file again. Why an extension is needed at all. Elden Ring keeps its saves in %APPDATA%\EldenRing, and the browser keeps that folder on its blocked list: a web page can neither open the file there nor re-read it. An extension with «Allow access to file URLs» turned on can and that single difference is what this is built on. What it does: • finds your saves on its own and shows who plays in them - character name, level and hours played, not just a Steam account number; • watches the file and hands it to the tracker tab on every in-game save; • shows what is going on: when the file changed, when it went to the site, whether the tab is open, and what to do when something is wrong. Where the file goes: only to the tracker page open in your own browser. The list of addresses is fixed in the manifest. The extension has no network permission, no server of its own, no analytics and no counters - nothing ever leaves your computer. After installing, turn on «Allow access to file URLs» on the extension's page: without it the browser will not let it read a single file, and the extension says so plainly. In Microsoft Edge one more switch is needed - «Site access» → the file:///* row; it is off by default too, and without it reading stays blocked even with the checkbox on. The interface speaks all fifteen languages of the game and follows your browser's language; where there is no translation, it speaks English.
