Overview

An independent workbench for user-configured Elasticsearch clusters.

ElasticLens is a browser-based monitoring and query workbench for clusters configured by the user. It provides one place to inspect cluster health, browse indices and shards, run Query DSL, review mappings and settings, manage snapshots, and export search results. Main features: - Save and switch between multiple connections with Basic authentication, API-key authentication, or no authentication. - Monitor health, nodes, indices, shards, resource usage, indexing activity, search activity, and alerts. - Inspect mappings, settings, shard allocation, node activity, snapshot repositories, snapshot details, and lifecycle policies when supported by the connected cluster. - Build match, term, range, and Boolean queries through a visual query builder. - Run and validate Query DSL with filters, sorting, facets, fuzzy search, autocomplete, and pagination. - Use a cluster-scoped REST console with locally stored request history. - View results as JSON, tables, or CSV and export JSON, CSV, or Excel-compatible files. - Save reusable queries and review local query history and error logs. - Choose Default, Light, or Night appearance. Optional AI assistance can generate field-aware Query DSL, support semantic search with compatible configurations, and explain selected errors. It uses credentials and services configured by the user and runs only after the user starts an AI action. Requests are sent only to the connection or optional service selected by the user. Chrome asks for access to a specific host when the user saves or tests it; host access is not granted during installation. Connections, credentials, preferences, history, saved queries, and diagnostics remain in Chrome extension storage. ElasticLens has no developer-operated backend or analytics. It does not sell data or use data for advertising. ElasticLens is independent and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Elasticsearch BV or Elastic.
