PingPatch: Local Page Change Watcher

Overview
Pick any element on a page and get a desktop notification when its text changes. Checked on a schedule, entirely in your browser.
Stop refreshing. PingPatch watches the one thing on a page you actually care about (a price, a stock label, an appointment slot, a grade) and sends a desktop notification the moment its text changes. Every check runs inside your own browser: no account, no cloud service, nothing to sign up for. HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the page and click "Pick an element to watch". 2. Click the text you care about. PingPatch highlights it and shows exactly what it will watch. 3. Choose how often to check. Done. When the text changes, the notification shows the old and the new value, and the popup shows a before/after comparison with the changed words highlighted. You see what changed, not just that something changed. FEATURES - Point-and-click element picker. No CSS knowledge needed (a selector field is there if you want one). - Scheduled checks from every minute to once a day, without keeping the page open. - As many watches as you like. - Before/after view of the latest change, plus a change history log for every watch. - Alert conditions: notify only when the text contains a keyword, loses a keyword, or a number goes above or below a threshold. - Works on pages built by JavaScript: PingPatch automatically switches to loading the page in a short-lived background tab when a plain fetch is not enough. - Alert when a watched element disappears from the page. - Pause, resume, rename, edit or check any watch on demand. - Unread count on the toolbar icon. - Light and dark theme. PRIVATE BY DESIGN - No servers, no analytics, no tracking. Your watches and their history are stored only in your browser. - Minimal access. PingPatch asks for permission one site at a time, only for sites you choose to watch, and each one can be revoked in Settings. COMPLETELY FREE Every feature is included: no paid tier, no watch limit, no account and nothing to unlock. GOOD TO KNOW PingPatch checks while Chrome is running. Pages that need a login are read through your existing browser session. Some sites block automated requests; for those, switch the watch to "Full page load" in its settings.
