Get lyrics for YouTube songs without lyric captions. Show timed or floating lyrics, choose sources, and adjust timing.

Get lyrics for YouTube songs that do not have lyric captions. LyricLayer finds lyrics from LRCLIB, NetEase and optional Kugou, independently of the video's own captions. When matching timed lyrics are available, they follow the song as it plays. Show them inside YouTube or in a floating window above your other apps. FIND MISSING LYRICS Search automatically on new videos or choose a recording yourself. LRCLIB and NetEase are enabled by default; Kugou is optional. Matching considers the song, artist, recording version and duration, including featured artists and named live recordings. Compare sources in the Song tab. KEEP LYRICS IN VIEW Use the floating window for the current and next line, or switch to Scrolling to follow the song. Play, pause and seek the same YouTube video from the window. Adjust subtitle font, size, colours, background and placement. Source translations and word highlights are available when the recording supplies them. MAKE THE TIMING YOURS Adjust the delay or repair a line, section or the following lyrics in the Timing tab. Undo, redo and restore source timing. Your corrections are saved locally for that video. Read the lyrics, click timed lines to seek, change playback speed and repeat a section with A/B practice controls. Import plain text or LRC lyrics, add a translation and export timed lyrics. GET STARTED 1. Install LyricLayer and refresh your YouTube tabs. 2. Open a song and use the Lyrics button in the player. Open Song to find lyrics or choose a recording. 3. Select Float to keep lyrics above other apps, or use Timing and Settings to adjust them. PRIVACY AND PERMISSIONS No account, advertising or usage analytics. Preferences and saved lyric selections stay in local extension storage. Access to YouTube lets the extension read song details and follow playback; enabled lyric providers receive your song or search query and normal connection information. Optional local audio matching uses the bundled model without uploading audio or using your microphone. Available YouTube captions can also help check timing. Floating lyrics require Document Picture-in-Picture support and the source YouTube tab must stay open.
