ZillowListingOverlay

Opens Zillow property listings and Ask Zillow in an overlay over the dimmed map so clicking outside brings you right back.

Brings back Zillow's classic map overlay experience so you can browse homes and Ask Zillow without losing your place on the map. Key Features: • Opens every Zillow home, apartment, building, and community listing in a full-height centered overlay right on top of your current map search. • Dims the map in the background so you can click anywhere on the greyed-out map—or press Esc—to return to your map view in one click. • Zero new page views: your map zoom, pan position, and filters stay loaded underneath the listing for faster switching between map and listing view. • Opens Ask Zillow in the same overlay format so you can ask questions about properties and click outside to return to the map. • Lets you customize the overlay width (default 72% column width with 14% left and right map margins) or temporarily disable the overlay directly from the toolbar popup. • Hold Cmd or Ctrl while clicking any listing whenever you want to open it in a separate tab. How to Use: 1. Open any Zillow map search page. 2. Click any property card or price pin on the map, or click Ask Zillow. 3. Browse the full listing details and photos inside the full-bleed center overlay. 4. Click anywhere on the greyed-out map on the left or right (or press Esc / click Back to search) to return to the map right where you left off. Privacy & Permissions: Runs only on Zillow.com and keeps your preferences stored in your browser via Chrome storage. No browsing history, personal information, or search activity is ever sent to external servers. Support & Feedback: Have questions or feature requests?
