Deadline Companion

Replace the new tab page with a configurable deadline countdown.

Keep one important date in view every time you open a new tab. Deadline Companion replaces Chrome’s New Tab page with a clean countdown showing the days remaining until your chosen deadline, including a live fractional-day display. • Set your own title, date, and time. • Add up to eight quick links to the sites you use most. • Edit everything through the small settings gear in the top-right corner. • Save your changes and return straight to your countdown. • Keep your settings across browser restarts, with Chrome Sync when enabled. No account, ads, or analytics. The extension does not run a backend or request access to your browsing history or website content. Your preferences are stored using Chrome’s extension storage and may sync through Google’s Chrome Sync service. The countdown stops at zero when your deadline arrives. This extension replaces the New Tab page; it does not send reminder notifications. The toolbar icon intentionally has no action—settings live on the New Tab page.
