amazon smile redirect

I have been using this app for years and it worked fine, but now it does not work any more. I cannot get it to automatically redirect to smile.amazon.com I tried removing the program from chrome and reinstalling, but still doesn't work.

theft of delivery

found delivery pictures on computer BUT when I returned from appointment in another area
(driver took me) the package was not on my porch as pictured. I was away in another town from 1 PM until 6:30 PM 8/3
Neighbors did not take it in, I just moved here my car was in driveway , but someone took
the package even if it was assumed by them that car indicated my being home.
How can I trace it, can you help

amazon smile extension doesn't automatically redirect

When I click on it I have to choose from a popup menu to go to amazonsmile.

That is not how the extension works. The way it works is that when you visit a page on the regular amazon.com site, it will automatically redirect you to the corresponding Amazon Smile page. You should never need to go to the extensions menu for this functionality. The link in the menu is just for convenience to go to the site. :)

Is this a straight redirect?

Do you simply redirect to smile.amazon or do you also embed your affiliate code? I am asking because I used AmazonSmile 1Button until I recently discovered they had started to embed their Amazon affiliate tag into the URL. I also started having other shady advertising show up.

No affiliate codes are embedded into the url. No user data is collected. There are and will be no ads added as well.

The way this extension works is it first goes the amazon.com (via the user) and checks the "welcome" line to see if they are logged in (important for the redirect to work correctly). Most other extensions that are similar do not do this, which is why they seem "faster", but it comes with other issues. If they are not logged in it will redirect them to the login page. If they are logged in, it will do a straight redirect to the corresponding Amazon Smile page.

My goal is 100% helping non-profits and charities, not for personal benefit. I only accept donations from people who enjoy the extension and want to support the efforts I have put into it. Otherwise it will remain free to use, free of ads, and absolutely no affiliate codes added. I have also refused to sell the extension as it's not for my personal gain.
