Overview

Turn YouTube into a focused study tool — keep the video, kill the distractions, track your study sessions.

Study Mode for YouTube turns YouTube into a focused place to learn instead of a place to lose an hour. When you switch Study Mode on, it clears away the distractions that pull you off track: the recommended videos sidebar, the comments, Shorts, and the cluttered homepage feed. What's left is just the video you came to watch. You can toggle each of these on or off individually if you want fine control. What makes Study Mode different from a basic blocker is the built-in study tracker. Start a focus session with the Pomodoro-style timer (25 minutes of work, then a break), and when the timer ends, your session is logged automatically — including the title of the video you were studying. A running "this week" total shows how much time you've actually put in, so your effort adds up to something you can see. It's built for students, self-learners, and anyone who uses YouTube to study or pick up new skills. Privacy first: Study Mode runs only on YouTube and stores everything on your own device. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no connection to any external server. Your study data stays with you.
