Overview
Non-custodial wallet for the Ego Blockchain. Send, receive and privately shield EGOC. Works with Ego Desktop.
Ego Wallet is a non-custodial wallet for the Ego Blockchain. Create a wallet or restore one from your 24-word recovery phrase, then send and receive EGOC from your browser toolbar. Ego Wallet works together with Ego Desktop. It sends your transactions through the Ego node that Ego Desktop runs on your computer, so install and open Ego Desktop first. What you can do • Send and receive EGOC, and share your address as a QR code • Shield EGOC and pay privately from the shielded pool. The proof is created on your own device. • Follow your recent activity and see when each transaction is confirmed • Add balances you hold on a few other networks, so everything is in one place • Use websites built on Ego. A site must ask to connect, and every payment, contract call or signature opens an approval window showing the site, the amount and the recipient. • Review and disconnect connected sites in Settings Your keys stay on your device Your recovery phrase is encrypted with your password (AES-256-GCM, with the key derived by PBKDF2) and never leaves your computer. Messages you sign carry an "Ego Signed Message" prefix, so a website cannot get a payment signed by disguising it as a message. Ego Wallet has no ads and no analytics.
