See the country behind every post on X (Twitter). X-Geo Shield adds a small country label next to the timestamp of public posts on x.com and twitter.com, so you can tell at a glance where an account is based before you reply, share or trust what it says. Mark the countries you want to keep an eye on, hide the ones you don't want in your feed, and clear out promoted posts. The country comes from the "Account based in" information X itself shows on each profile's About page. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT IT DOES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌍 Country on every post A label such as "🌍 Germany" appears next to the time of each post on your timeline, in search results, replies and threads. 🔵 Mark countries Choose countries to highlight. Their posts get a subtle blue background so they stand out while you scroll. 🚫 Hide countries Block a country and its posts disappear from your feed. Useful against coordinated spam waves. 🧹 Hide promoted posts One switch hides promoted posts and keeps count of how many were removed. ✅ Verified-only mode Optionally look up only verified accounts to use fewer lookups. 🌓 Dark and light theme The popup follows X's look and lets you switch between dark and light. ⬇️ Video download button Videos get a download button that opens the post in xdownloader.com, a separate third-party service. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ HOW TO USE ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1. Install X-Geo Shield and pin it to your toolbar. 2. Open the extension and click "Continue with X" to connect your account. 3. Refresh x.com. Country labels appear automatically as you scroll. 4. Open the popup's "Countries" tab to mark or hide countries. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FREE AND PRO ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Free: 100 country lookups every 35 minutes, country labels, country rules and hiding promoted posts. Pro ($2.99/month, optional): 1,000 lookups every 30 minutes and priority email support. Payments are handled by Stripe and can be cancelled at any time. Accounts you've already seen are cached, so they don't use a lookup again. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVACY ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • When you connect with X, we receive your public username and display name to apply your plan. We don't store your X access token. • To show countries, the extension sends the usernames of the accounts on your screen to our server, which returns their country.
