TypeUI Insights is a website analytics extension for Google Chrome that brings live visitors, traffic metrics, and heatmaps directly onto the websites you own or manage. Check your traffic, explore where visitors click, and spot opportunities to improve your website without switching between tabs. LIVE VISITORS AND WEBSITE ANALYTICS • See live visitors across all pages or just the page you’re viewing. • Check user sessions, pageviews, time on site, and bounce rate. • Explore Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, and longer periods, depending on your website’s data retention. • Switch between website-wide and page-specific analytics. ON-PAGE HEATMAPS • See recorded clicks displayed directly over your website. • Explore clicks, dead clicks, and rage clicks. • Understand which buttons, links, and content attract attention. • Find interactions that may leave visitors confused or frustrated. A WIDGET THAT FITS YOUR WORKFLOW • Expand the widget for traffic metrics or minimize it to a compact live visitor count. • Drag it around and snap it to convenient positions on your screen. • Choose light or dark mode. • Keep your display preferences across connected websites. • Open your full TypeUI dashboard when you want to explore further. • Show or hide the widget from the extension popup. GETTING STARTED You’ll need a TypeUI account with Insights access. A paid plan may be required. Your website must already be added to TypeUI, verified, and collecting data through the TypeUI Insights tracker. Sign in, connect your website, and approve Chrome’s permission for that website. The widget appears automatically. The extension displays your existing analytics and does not install another tracker. ACCESS AND PRIVACY You choose which verified websites to connect. The extension uses the website address and page path to display matching analytics. Query strings and URL fragments are excluded from analytics requests. It does not collect your general browsing history, passwords, or form contents. You can disconnect through the extension or revoke a connected browser from your TypeUI account settings. Heatmaps display historical clicks over your current page layout. Placement is approximate and can be affected by layout changes or personalized content.
