TabVault
Overview
Vault your tabs into organized groups. One click to save, categorize, and restore.
Too many tabs open and no way to find them later? TabVault saves your open tabs into a tidy, searchable vault with one click — and automatically sorts them into categories like Work, Shopping, Reading, and Social so you can actually find what you saved. Unlike other tab managers, TabVault never touches your tabs unless you tell it to. Clicking the toolbar icon simply opens your vault — it never closes anything behind your back. When you're ready to clean up, hit "Vault All Tabs" and decide for yourself whether open tabs should also close, using a simple on/off toggle that defaults to leaving your tabs alone. Key features: - One-click vaulting of a single tab or your entire window, with a non-destructive default - Offline auto-categorization powered by 280+ built-in domain mappings, URL patterns, and title keywords across 12 categories — no cloud lookups, ever - Drag-and-drop recategorization that learns from your corrections, so TabVault gets smarter about your specific sites over time - Timeline view to browse what you saved and when, plus a Category view for browsing by topic - Instant search across titles and URLs - Export your entire vault to JSON for backup, import it back anytime, or copy any list as Markdown to paste into notes - Trash with a 30-day safety net before anything is permanently deleted - Right-click any page to "Send to TabVault," or right-click the extension icon to vault the whole window - Keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+V) for hands-free vaulting Privacy is not a feature we bolted on — it's the foundation. TabVault makes zero network calls. There are no analytics, no telemetry, no third-party scripts, and no account or sign-in of any kind. Every URL, title, and category you save stays on your device, stored using Chrome's own local storage API. We built TabVault because we wanted a tab manager we could trust completely, and we think you'll want the same thing. Getting started is simple: install TabVault, open a few tabs, and click the toolbar icon to see your vault. Use "Vault All Tabs" to save everything at once, drag items between categories to teach TabVault your preferences, and use search or the Timeline/Category toggle to find anything you've saved — today or months from now.
