This program is very good to recognize chinese characters. It has helped me recover quite a bit of lost Chinese. That said, the promotion and advertising has gotten quite a bit out of hand - especially when you have headphones in (the ad is pretty much screaming in your ears to sign up)... I am also out..

Real good to practice the basics! Speaking part of it isn't too great, some tones incorrect but the character / flashcard section is great for beginners. Some characters may get repetitive which could be a waste of time for some but I suppose it's only really beneficial. Good app!

I liked the dictionary but the flashcards were worse than useless; they were often wrong and the choice of vocabulary was questionable. It doesn't adapt to your learning speed as it advertises unless you buy the big version.

I found this app very easy to use, and very useful in reviewing Chinese vocab. As mentioned in other reviews, some tones are contextually incorrect. This didn't bother me much. UPDATE: The issues brought up by my previous review have been thoroughly addressed by the developers. They were very friendly and prompt. I would highly recommend this app to anyone looking to enjoy brushing up on their Chinese character recognition.

Incredibly useful and easy to use. Simple user interface. Choice between Simplified and Traditional characters. Thank you! But PLEASE: Add example sentences and paragraphs or other types of texts so that we can learn in context! That's the only shortcoming that is preventing me from giving it *****.

The tones have mistakes: For example in "ni hao" the ni should change to second tone because both ni and hao have the third tone. But the app says two third tones (which is wrong). This is just one example, it's a systematic error repeating in all other expressions with tone modifications.
