Efrd - Efficient Reading

Reading customization tools: bionic reading, custom fonts, focus colors and backgrounds.

Efrd is a reading assistant that helps make web pages and PDFs easier and more comfortable to read. FEATURES • Bionic Reading — Emphasizes the beginning of words to help guide eye movement while reading. Font weights can be adjusted in real time. • Reading Profiles — Start with a preset profile for focus, comfort, or accessibility, then customize the settings to your preference. • Custom Fonts — Choose from several reading-friendly and system font options. • Colors & Backgrounds — Adjust bold-letter colors and choose from multiple reading backgrounds for different lighting and reading preferences. • Focus Ruler — Highlight the current reading area to help keep your place on the page. • Auto Scroll — Smooth automatic scrolling with adjustable speed. • Read Aloud — Listen to page text using voices available in your browser or operating system. • Focus Sounds — Use background noise options to help reduce distracting sounds while reading. • Excluded Sites — Disable Efrd on sites you choose. The list is empty by default and remains under your control. • PDF Reader — Open PDFs in Efrd’s built-in reader and use the same reading tools available on web pages. • Multilingual Interface — Efrd supports 12 interface languages. PRIVACY Efrd processes normal page-reading features locally in your browser. Anonymous usage analytics are optional and disabled by default. If you choose to use Report Issue, the information you submit, such as the site name, issue description, browser and language metadata, timestamp, and an optional screenshot, may be sent to Efrd’s feedback service so the issue can be reviewed. Efrd does not sell personal data or use browsing history for advertising. See the privacy policy for full details: https://sites.google.com/view/efrdprivacypolicy
