Effigia for Google Meet
Overview
Local face filters for Google Meet with saved presets. Camera processing stays on your computer; microphone unchanged.
Adjust your camera appearance directly in Google Meet with Effigia. Fine-tune your look in the pre-call preview, save it in a named preset and reopen your controls during a call. APPEARANCE CONTROLS Use 39 adjustment sliders and three color controls for skin smoothing, blemishes, fine lines, even tone, tan and glow, dark circles and targeted darker-area correction. Adjust eye shape, iris color and lightening, lashes, nose shape, lip volume, smile, tooth whitening and face contours. Preserve beard detail or try optional hair coloring. Results depend on lighting, camera quality and the selected settings. EASY ACCESS AND PRESETS Open the Chrome toolbar panel or the Effigia control in the corner of Meet. Drag the corner control to a convenient position, hide it with a right-click and restore it from the toolbar. Save, apply, update or delete named presets. Choose English, Portuguese or Spanish and Balanced or Lighter processing. HOW TO USE 1. Open Google Meet in Chrome and leave the camera off. 2. Open Effigia from Chrome’s extensions toolbar, review the local camera-processing disclosure and choose Allow and enable filters. The control inside Meet cannot grant first-use access. 3. Turn on your physical camera in Meet. If it was already on, turn it off and on yourself. Effigia does not start or restart your camera. 4. Adjust your look and save your preferred settings under My presets. LOCAL PROCESSING Camera frames and temporary face, hand and hair analysis are processed on your computer. Settings, presets, corner position and your camera-processing choice are saved locally. Effigia does not upload this content to its servers, record calls, require an Effigia account or modify your microphone. Google Meet continues to handle camera permission, audio and normal call transmission. COMPATIBILITY AND RECOVERY This extension works on the Google Meet website in Chrome. It does not install a system-wide virtual camera or add filters to other websites. Background replacement remains controlled by Meet. Turning filters off keeps your camera-processing permission and forwards original video through the adapter. If processing is unavailable, original video can also appear; the panel reports processing status. To withdraw permission, use Revoke Effigia camera access. This stops Effigia video; turn the camera off and on in Meet yourself to restore the original camera. Revoking access preserves your settings and presets. Speed varies by computer and enabled effects, and hair coloring adds processing. Effigia is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
