Toolpath CAD Viewer

Opens STEP, Parasolid, SOLIDWORKS, CATIA and IGES links in the Toolpath 3D viewer instead of downloading them.

Click a CAD link and see the part. No download, no desktop CAD program, no account. Normally a link to a file like bracket.step drops a file in your downloads folder that nothing on your machine can open. With Toolpath CAD Viewer the part opens in the tab instead, as a 3D model you can rotate, zoom and inspect, with face edges and reference axes. The original download is still one click away. How it works: The CAD file is sent to the Toolpath Engine, which turns it into a lightweight 3D mesh for the viewer. Viewing is free and needs no sign-up. If you have a Toolpath account, paste your API key on the settings page and the parts you open are kept under your account. Settings let you choose which file types the extension opens and which it leaves alone. Toolpath is a cloud platform for CNC machining: DFM feedback, quoting and toolpaths from a CAD file.
