Overview

Filters non-EECS courses from GPA calculator to calculate EECS GPA

This extension consists of a script that automatically removes the non-EECS courses to calculate EECS GPA on York University's GPA Calculator tool, without having to manually delete them. The EECS (Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) department at York University in Toronto consists of undergraduate programs such as Computer Science, Computer Security, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc. In order to take upper year EECS courses, you need to meet the minimum EECS GPA requirement from previous EECS pre-requisite classes. The university has a culminative GPA calculator, but it doesn't have a feature to calculate your EECS GPA. However, you can still compute your EECS GPA by manually excluding the non-EECS courses from the calculation. This can be tedious to do, especially if you're deep into engineering where you've taken many EECS classes. Typically in upper year EECS classes, they get more challenging and our EECS GPA would drop. Therefore, monitoring our EECS GPA is essential to stay informed about our academic standing.
