Overview
Translate whole web pages into your language in one click, with optional auto-translation per language
Polyglot translates the web page you are reading into your language, in one click, and puts the original back just as fast. 📄 Full page translation Open the Polyglot popup and click "Translate page", or right-click anywhere on the page and choose "Translate page". The source language is detected automatically and the text is translated in place, keeping the layout of the site. Click "Show original" to switch back at any time. ⚡ Built for modern websites Polyglot sends the text of the page in batches for fast results, and keeps up with content that appears after the page has loaded: single page applications, infinite scrolling, menus and components inside Shadow DOM. Translation works page by page: when you move to another page of a site, Polyglot stops, so you stay in control of what gets translated. 🔁 Automatic translation, only when you want it Nothing is translated automatically by default. If you wish, turn on auto-translation for a given language from the popup, and Polyglot will translate pages in that language as you open them. You can also exclude a specific site. ⚙️ Settings • Choose your target language among more than 100 languages • Choose the translation service: Google Translate (default), Microsoft Translator, Yandex Translate, or the translator built into Chrome when your version of Chrome provides it • Choose which HTML attributes are translated (title, alt, placeholder and more) and which parts of the page are never translated (CSS selectors) • Show or hide the "Translate page" item in the right-click menu • Optional local translation cache to avoid translating the same text twice • Import and export your settings 🔒 Privacy Polyglot has no account, no ads and no analytics. Your settings and preferences stay in your browser. To translate a page, its text is sent to the translation service you selected (Google Translate by default) and to nothing else.
