.aix extension explorer for App Inventor; opens the local folder of the selected file.

.aix Manager is a companion tool for MIT App Inventor users who work with .aix extension files. It adds a floating, draggable panel directly on the App Inventor design page, giving you quick access to all your local .aix files without leaving the editor. WHAT IT DOES • Scans a folder you configure and lists every .aix file it finds, organized by project. • Shows a Favorites section for your most-used extensions, with drag-and-drop reordering. • Opens the native file explorer directly in the folder of the selected .aix file with a single click. • Includes a search bar to filter extensions by name or project. • Features a dark mode for comfortable use in low-light environments. • Remembers your panel position, theme, and collapsed sections between sessions. HOW IT WORKS The extension communicates with a small local helper server that you run on your own machine. This server is a Python script that you download and start yourself. It is the only component with access to your file system: it scans the folder you configure, returns the list of .aix files, opens the native file explorer on your request, and stores your favorites list. All communication happens over the loopback address 127.0.0.1, which is not accessible from the internet. No data is ever sent to remote servers or third parties. Your files and your favorites list never leave your computer. REQUIREMENTS • This extension requires the local helper server (a Python script) to be running on your machine.
