Eddly Language Learning
Overview
Replace page words with AI target-language picks. Grammar tips in Chrome tooltips or side panel.
Eddly Language Learning helps you read real websites in the language you are learning. It replaces a limited number of words on the page with natural alternatives in your target language and can show short grammar context in a hover tooltip or in Chrome’s side panel when you click a highlighted word. You add your own AI provider API key in the extension options and choose a model and target language. Eddly stays off by default: you turn it on per website from the toolbar icon, so only sites you allow send visible page text to your provider to generate replacements and hints. You can adjust how many substitutions appear with the level setting. Getting started: open the extension Options, enter your API key, pick a model, set your target language, then visit a normal http or https site, open the Eddly toolbar menu, enable Eddly for that site, and reload the tab if it was already open. Your API key and settings are stored locally in this browser. Because allowed page text is sent to third-party AI APIs you configure, do not enable Eddly on pages whose content you cannot share with that provider.
