Overview

Local permission exposure and change detection for installed browser extensions.

# ED Extension Sentinel™ **Browser Intelligence Unit — Know what your extensions can access.** Your browser extensions can access websites, modify page content, manage downloads and interact with sensitive browser capabilities. But how much access have you actually granted? **ED Extension Sentinel™** brings visibility to your installed browser extensions through local permission analysis, capability exposure scoring and baseline comparison. Built by Error Division, Sentinel transforms complex extension permissions into clear, structured intelligence. ## KEY FEATURES **01 // Extension Reconnaissance** Inspect installed browser extensions and review their permissions, capabilities and exposure classifications in a tactical dashboard. **02 // Permission Exposure Score** Each extension receives a heuristic exposure score from 0 to 100, highlighting potentially broad or sensitive browser capabilities. HIGH, MEDIUM and LOW classifications help prioritize which extensions deserve closer review. **03 // Intelligence Findings** Understand potential concerns associated with requested permissions, including access to browsing data, content modification and other sensitive capabilities. **04 // Baseline Intelligence** Establish a local snapshot of your extension environment. Subsequent scans identify newly installed, changed and removed extensions. **05 // Tactical HUD** Switch between compact and detailed views, with filters for HIGH, MEDIUM, LOW and CHANGED extension findings. **06 // Configurable Risk Engine** Adjust exposure thresholds, enable strict scoring and choose whether disabled extensions should be included in your analysis. **07 // Structured Reports** Copy reconnaissance results or export JSON reports for documentation, comparison and further analysis. **08 // Local-First Architecture** Extension analysis, preferences and baselines are handled locally within your browser profile. Sentinel does not require cloud telemetry or account registration. ## HOW IT WORKS 1. Install ED Extension Sentinel™. 2. Open the extension and run Extension Recon. 3. Review exposure scores and intelligence findings. 4. Save a baseline of your installed extensions. 5. Run future scans to identify changes. 6. Export findings when needed. ## OPERATIONAL TRANSPARENCY ED Extension Sentinel™ is a permission exposure assessment tool, not an antivirus engine. A HIGH score does not mean an extension is malicious. It indicates that the extension possesses capabilities or permissions that warrant closer examination. Likewise, a LOW score does not guarantee that an extension is safe. Sentinel does not perform malware detection, inspect extension source code or continuously monitor browser activity. Baseline changes are identified during subsequent scans. ## PRIVACY BY DESIGN - Local permission and extension inventory analysis - Local baseline storage - No mandatory account - No cloud-based scanning or telemetry - User-initiated report export ## DOCUMENTATION Technical Field Manual: https://error-division.com/ed-extension-sentinel/manual/ Official Product Page: https://error-division.com/ed-extension-sentinel/ **ED Extension Sentinel™ — Browser Intelligence.
